Gladiators is set to return to screens later this year more than 20 years since its final episode, and free tickets have been made available for audiences to witness the action in person. The iconic ITV game show was a TV staple when it aired for eight seasons in the 1990s, and made stars of a its many musclemen and women.
The show saw contestants take part in a series of gruelling physical challenges against “superhuman” Gladiators including Hunter, Jet, Panther, Cobra and Wolf. Now more than 20 years since the original series aired its last episode on New Year’s Day 2000, Gladiators is coming back in its new home on BBC One, and viewers can apply for free tickets to see the action in person later this year.
The new 11-part series – produced by Hungry Bear Media and MGM Television UK – will see brave contenders facing off against a new generation of Gladiators in the “ultimate test of speed and strength.” They will take part in a series of brand-new games, as well as classic challenges like fan-favourite The Eliminator.

Filming will take place at Sheffield’s Utilita Arena and fans can apply for free tickets now. Tickets are currently available for four days in June, while further dates are set to be added.
You can apply for free audience tickets via the Applause Store website for the shows on Monday 5, Wednesday 7, Thursday 8 and Friday 9. The tickets are not guaranteed and are allocated at random.

The minimum age limit for audience members is five years while under 18’s must be accompanied by an adult. Those who are lucky enough to bag tickets will be informed by email prior to the event.
The broadcast date for the new series Gladiators is yet to be confirmed.
