Amazon Prime Day is usually a time to buy discounted TVs, laptops and Amazon Echo devices and this year looks no different. The Echo Dot has already been reduced and can be bought for £10 using an online deal.
The retailer is set to launch its full Amazon Prime Day sale on Tuesday 12 July with deals running through to the following day. However there is an early deal that allows shoppers to get free fruit and vegetables in an unlikely shopping trick for the online giant.
Amazon also delivers groceries, and many shoppers have started to buy their weekly shop on the site to take advantage of the Prime savings. Amazon sells thousands of grocery items including fresh produce, household essentials, plus popular and specialist brands through Amazon Fresh or via Morrisons.
Amazon Fresh has a section offering free samples and the current freebies include blackberries, raspberries, blueberries, and red and green grapes. The free samples can be added to any Amazon Fresh shop without a catch. Shoppers can simply add them to their basket and they will be delivered alongside the rest of the shop.
Amazon has also launched other ways to save on a weekly shop in the wake of the cost of living crisis.
While individual food items from the grocery section probably won't appear on the Prime sale page and Lightning Deals page, there is offers on. Those who sign up to Amazon Prime can get either £10 or £15 off their first three grocery shops.
The deal, which runs until July 31, 2022, is personalised to each Prime member, depending on location and availability, so some shoppers may get £10 off their first three shops online, others may get £15 off their first three shops in Amazon Fresh stores.
Available now, new customers who shop Amazon Fresh online can get £15 off any order over £50 or more and this deal is valid on their first three shops with same-day delivery. Find out more about the deal here.
