Upgrading your workstations is a crucial step in progressing in ARC Raiders. Doing so unlocks better weapons and gear that you can take with you topside, ensuring you get out with the best loot possible.
However, these upgrades are never so easy, precisely because of how good they are. One such requires ARC Motion Cores, a seemingly common item given how many ARCs are on every map.
If you're searching for this item, here's how you can substantially increase your odds of finding it.
Where to find ARC Motion Core

ARC Motion Cores are a relatively rare drop, usually found when looting the remains of a downed ARC. Not all ARCs have an equal proclivity towards dropping ARC Motion Cores, and it is the more powerful and difficult ones that usually do it.
Given that they go up in a million pieces - each of which can drop an ARC Motion Core - Bastions are a good candidate for mass farming these items. The more you damage the thing, the more parts will fall off it, and each of these is a separate loot "container" that can have an ARC Motion Core within.
Bastions are weak from behind and susceptible to explosive damage, so carrying a few Fireball Burners, Wolfpacks, and other explosives will make quick work of this otherwise massive ARC.
Additionally, ARC Motion Cores can be found within destroyed ARCs that spawn around every map in the game. Each time you come across one, make sure to check it out, as it can contain one. ARC Probes, the thing that makes all those weird sounds, whether crashed or still standing, almost always have one ARC Motion Core in them, so if you ever hear that weird beeping, you should immediately check what it has inside.
Other ARCs like Bombardiers, Rocketeers, Queens, Surveyors, and Sentinels can also contain them and have a good tendency to drop one or more when killed.
