More than a fashion choice, your keepsakes are a testament to your journey in Cairn, with each representing unforgettable moments and staying unlocked in all playthroughs following your first completion.
But not all of them can be unlocked as part of the story, with the majority being acquirable by either going off the main path or doing the unthinkable. Don’t believe us? Here’s how to get all keepsakes in Cairn.

How To Get All Keepsakes In Cairn
In total, climbers can acquire 13 keepsakes in Cairn, with three of them — Kami, Yukai Tent, and Pickup Pika — being exclusive rewards to those who purchased its Deluxe Edition. Two of them are also ending-related, which means you will need to complete at least two playthroughs to get the full collection. Without further ado, you can check out how to unlock all keepsakes in Cairn below:
- Alpine Cola Keychain: By interacting with the Broken Vending Machine at The Shortcut’s abandoned cable car station. The machine will be hard to miss and also feature both Berry milk and a pack of Freeze-dried veggies.
- Trout: By catching your first fish, something you can do at any large body of water. You can also find a in-door fishing sanctuary by heading north-east of the abandoned cable car station where you acquired the above.
- Troglodyte Amulet: By grabbing it from the center of the sanctuary on The Child. The area will also feature the game’s first Troglodyte Piton. You can check out how to reach it and get all three pitons in our How to Get and Repair Pitons guide.
- Chimes: Can be found within the Shepherdess home. To reach it, head right of The Standing Stones campsite until you reach an area featuring a chair and a unbrealla before heading forward. After talking to the Shepherdess, you can unlock the Thermos by giving Rody’s letter to her.
- Frog: By licking a frog for the first time. You can find frogs at multiple points during your climb. In my case, I found my first few inside a cave located northeast of the Shepherdess home.
- Troglodyte Doll: By gathering all parts of the doll and then using it to clear out the skies three times.
- The parts can be found in The Child, The Standing Stones, and The Vault areas, respectively.
- Climbot: By repairing a total of 15 pitons during your climb.
- Crystal Shard: By giving all crystal shards to the crystal-cutter at The Palace of Wind. Doing so will also unlock both the Small Windmill and the One day, I’ll be rich! trophy/achievement.
- Troglodyte Pennant: By reaching Damas Al Fatri’s camp on The Blades. As you must reach the area during the story, this keepsake is one of the only ones to be unmissable.
- Shooting Star: By completing the game with the ”Part of a whole” ending.
- Capsule: By completing the game with the ”Home” ending.
- Kami: Availalbe from the get-go if you have the Deluxe Edition.
- Yukai Tent: Availalbe from the get-go if you have the Deluxe Edition.
- Pickup Pika: Availalbe from the get-go if you have the Deluxe Edition.
