Brits all across the country will be able to get a hefty amount of time off if they take advantage of bank holidays in May and April.
In fact, if you play your cards right you could get 20 days off work by only booking off eight days. Throughout April and May, there will be a total of four bank holidays - one extra thanks to the King's coronation.
It's important to note that the following trick will only work if your job is a typical Monday to Friday where you receive bank holidays off automatically as part of your contract. While most workers are legally required to have at least 28 days of paid annual leave a year, you will only use a small fraction of that with the following trick...
How to get 20 days off in April and May by only booking of 8
In April there will be two bank holidays to celebrate Easter, which will treat many workers to a four-day weekend. April 7 will mark Good Friday while Easter Monday will be celebrated on April 10.
During this period, you could find yourself with a 10-day long break if you book off four days on the following:
- Monday, April 3
- Tuesday, April 4
- Wednesday, April 5
- Thursday, April 6.
In May, there will be two bank holidays (factoring in the extra bank holiday on May 8 for the King's coronation). By booking off another four days in this period, you could find yourself with 10 more days off work.
Simply book the following days off:
- Tuesday, May 2
- Wednesday, May 3
- Thursday, May 4
- Friday, May 5
