There’s plenty to collect in The First Descendant, but you won’t get far without huge amounts of Gold. Research and upgrades are costly, but we’ll tell you how to farm Gold quickly so that your bank account is never in the red.
What’s good about The First Descendant is that you can get Gold by doing any activity in the game. If you need Cores, play Void Erosion Purge; if you want a new Descendant, farm its Amorphous Materials, and you’ll get some Gold while you’re at it. But if you want to target Gold, there are a few activities you can do.
Here are the best Gold farms in The First Descendant.

Best Gold farm in The First Descendant
Breach Tracking

Breach Tracking is an endgame activity for farming Gold. The difficulty is similar to the Axion Plains field, which has level 190 enemies. Despite being a farming activity, you need a decently built character to run this dungeon.
At base, you can get around 500,000 Gold per run, but you can get additional rewards by opening Amorhpous Dimensional Stones at the end of the mission. These are chests you can open with Dimensional Stabilization Keys. There are three chests: Resonating, Faint, and Shining. Each chest has its own pool of rewards, which you can find below.
Resonating Amorphous Dimensional Stone:
- 500,000 Gold: 67.5 percent chance.
- 1,000,000 Gold: 22.5 percent chance.
- 3,000,000 Gold: 7.5 percent chance.
- 10,000,000 Gold: 2.5 percent chance.
Faint Amorphous Dimensional Stone:
- 40 Superconductive Cooling Units: 67.5 percent chance.
- 80 Superconductive Cooling Units: 22.5 percent chance.
- 100 Superconductive Cooling Units: 7.5 percent chance.
- 500 Superconductive Cooling Units: 2.5 percent chance.
Shining Amorphous Dimensional Stone:
- Photon Quantum Crystal: 24.25 percent chance.
- Ultrafine Particle Alloy: 24.25 percent chance.
- Writhing Organic Matter: 24.25 percent chance.
- 10,000,000 Gold: one percent chance.
- 1,000,000 Kuiper Shards: one percent chance.
- Crystallization Catalyst: one percent chance.
Materials from the Shining Amorphous Dimensional Stone are used for researching newer Descendants and Ultimate weapons, like Harris and Ultimate Yujin. However, if you want to open all the boxes every run, you need to farm Dimensional Stabilization Keys first from any Colossus in the game.
Invasions

Invasions are the second-best source of Gold in The First Descendant. They are easy to complete and grant 1,250,000 Gold per run. The caveat is that you can only do four Invasions per day. There are two dungeons marked with the Vulgus invasion (the same as 400 percent dungeons), and you can do each twice.
Still, it’s five million Gold per day within minutes, and as long as you do them every day, you’ll have more than enough Gold for upgrades and research. Then, you can shift your focus to farming Kuiper Shards or other materials.
Special Operations

If your Descendants aren’t built for Breach Tracking (or just want to play something else), you can play Special Operations on Hard difficulty. You can access Special Operations via the terminal in the central area of Albion. There are two Special Operations that rotate. You can play whichever you want, but Albion Resource Defense missions are usually faster and easier to do.
Special Operations are wave-based missions, and apart from the Gold dropped by enemies, they give rewards every set number of waves. The rewards include decent amounts of Gold, but are RNG-based (for example, 20 percent chance in Albion Resource Defense missions).
Having a fellow/dog with you can increase Gold income, as they pick up drops from enemies.
Here are the rewards you can expect in Albion Resource Defense Special Operations (all with a 20 percent chance):
- Second wave: 100,000 Gold
- Fourth wave: 200,000 Gold
- Sixth wave: 300,000 Gold
- Eighth wave: 500,000 Gold
- 10th wave: 1,000,000 Gold
If you get lucky, you can earn over two million Gold per Special Operation. On average, expect to earn around 1.5 million per completed Special Operation.
