How to complete Week 3 events in Forza Horizon 6 Festival Playlist Series 1

With Forza Horizon 6’s Festival Playlist’s third week of Welcome to Japan, we enter the penultimate stage of the campaign that lasts the whole month. Snowy Winter has come to Japan, and brought us gifts in the form of a new set of challenges.

Playground Games decided to spice things up this week, as the weekly events and challenges are possibly the most difficult to date and will take between an hour or two to complete, depending on your skill and a bit of luck.

Here’s the comprehensive guide on how to complete all Week 3 events in Forza Horizon 6 Festival Playlist Series 1.

All Week 2 challenges in Forza Horizon 6 Series 1 playlist

Weekly Challenge — Ultimate Driving Machine

In this weekly challenge, we have to drive the 2020 BMW M2 Competition Coupé and complete four challenges with it. These challenges need to be completed one after the other; you can’t just skip to the final one and do it first.

  • Own and Drive the 2020 BMW M2 Competition Coupé.

The 2020 BMW M2 Competition Coupé is the reward for attaining the Yellow wristband rank in Forza Horizon 6, so it’s highly likely you already have this car. If not, there’s a possibility to get it through Wheelspins and Super Wheelspins, but you can’t just repurchase the car at the Autoshow, so be careful. You can try your luck at the Auction as a last resort.

  • Earn 3 Stars at Speed Traps in the 2020 BMW M2 Competition Coupé.

There’s no PI gate for this challenge, so feel free to upgrade the 2020 BMW M2 Competition Coupé to any spec, as long as you’re able to get 3 stars at any Speed Traps of your choosing..

  • Take a photo of your 2020 BMW M2 Competition Coupé.

Simply open the photo mode and snap a quick pic of your 2020 BMW M2 Competition Coupé.

  • Complete 3 laps at the Soni Time Attack in the 2020 BMW M2 Competition Coupé.

Once again, this challenge comes without any restrictions. Simply fast travel to the Soni Time Attack circuit and do three casual laps in the 2020 BMW M2 Competition Coupé.

You’ll get 25,000 Credits as the reward for completion.

Photo Challenge

This week’s Photo Challenge has us take a picture inside the Edogawa Baseball Stadium. Before you fast-travel to the huge stadium in the westernmost part of the map, that’s not the location you need. The Edogawa Baseball Stadium is located within the Tokyo City bounds, and there are no markings to give it away.

Simply fast travel to this location on the map and take a photo.

You’ll get the “Slide Whistle” Car Horn as the reward for completion.

Collectibles

Instead of the usual Treasure Hunt, Playground Games wants us to smash 5 Vending Machines. Vending Machines are plentiful in Tokyo, and you can see them on almost every street. Roam the city to spot them, but bear in mind that the locations with pairs of Vending Machines only count as one for the challenge.

You’ll get the 2023 Lotus Emira as the reward for completion.

Seasonal Championship — Be a Good Sport

The Seasonal Championship — Be a Good Sport is a series of three races across Japan. Just as usual, you don’t need to do them consecutively, and you also don’t have to win them all to become champion, as you get points that are tallied after all three are finished.

The event is restricted to B-Class 600 PI Retro Sports Cars. There are a few good options you can choose from: both the 1992 and 2005 Honda NSX-R are very good cars, you can also opt for the JDM legend in the 2000 Nissan Skyline GT-R V-Spec II, or even an upgraded Toyota AE86.

The reward for winning the Championship is a 1969 Datsun 2000 Roadster.

Seasonal Championship — Monsters on Mud

Just like the rest of Seasonal Championships, Monsters on Mud is, too, a series of three races with the same format as before.

The event is restricted to S1-Class 800 PI Rally Monster cars. Your options are somewhat limited here, and the best car you can use is the 2018 Subaru WRX STi ARX Supercar. A Group B monster, the 1986 Audi Sport Quattro S1 is a good pick as well. Do not pick the 2017 Ford #14 Rahal Letterman Lanigan Racing GRC Fiesta or the 2017 Volkswagen #34 Volkswagen Andretti Rallycross Beetle, these are bait cars that are even worse than the 1985 Ford RS200 Evolution.

The reward for winning the Championship is a 1967 Renault 8 Gordini.

Seasonal Championship — When in Roma

Seasonal Championship — When in Roma is another three-part event with the same format as always.

The event is restricted to S1-Class 800 PI Modern Supercars. You can pick any option available to you, but there’s a smart play to be made here. Pick our good friend 2012 Nissan GT-R Black Edition (R35) and quick-upgrade it to 800 PI. It doesn’t cost much, and you can reuse this car in several upcoming challenges.

The reward for winning the Championship is a 2020 Ferrari Roma.

Drag Meet

The first World Event challenge this week is the Irokawa Quarter Mile Drag Meet.

The challenge has an S1-Class 800 PI Japanese car restriction, and it requires you to complete the Drag Strip in 11 seconds.

Get the 2012 Nissan GT-R Black Edition (R35) that we upgraded and do the quarter mile in 7-8 seconds at a leisurely pace.

The reward for completing this challenge is a Wheelspin.

Speed Zone

The second World Event is the Temple Run-Up Speed Zone.

The challenge also has an S1-Class 800 PI Japanese car restriction, and you guessed it right, we’re re-using the 2012 Nissan GT-R Black Edition (R35) again. Start the Zone from the southern end, as you can carry more speed at the start. The R35 platform is stable enough not to require much braking, and you will easily complete the 144.8 km/h challenge.

Danger Sign

The Alpine Heights Danger Sign is the final World Event this week. It has you jump from a ski jump ramp, and once again we’re re-using the 2012 Nissan GT-R Black Edition (R35) car. The challenge is to clear the 335 meters, which our good old R35 can do in style

The reward for completing this challenge is a Wheelspin.

Seasonal Online — Horizon Drift

This week’s first Seasonal Online challenge is the Horizon Drift, which has a hard requirement: you need to use a Dodge car. Thankfully, you don’t need to win it, so pick a Dodge of your liking, queue up for Horizon Drift, and complete the race.

The reward for completing this challenge is a 1988 Lamborghini Countach LP5000 QV.

Seasonal Online — The Eliminator

The final Weekly challenge for Winter is the Eliminator. Unlike Horizon Drift, you need to finish 30th or higher in this one, so this one could possibly take a while, completely depending on your car drop and map luck. Nevertheless, finishing 30th is not a difficult task even if you just drive around simply avoiding everyone, so a couple of tries should be enough.

The reward for completing this challenge is a 2018 Lotus Exige.

Monthly Rivals

The Monthly Rivals event is unchanged from last week again. It’s a time attack in Mazda Furai, and you can still complete it if you haven’t done so last week.

The reward for completing this challenge is a Super Wheelspin.

Daily Challenges

Don’t forget to do them every day. Screenshot by Dot Esports

As always, in addition to the weekly challenges, we also have the daily ones that will gradually unlock every day, and completing each one awards you 5,000 Credits.

  • Day 1: Beat a Rivals Ghost in any Japanese car.
  • Day 2: Honk your horn in any Honda.
  • Day 3: Send a Gift Drop to any player.
  • Day 4: Complete a Horizon Rush event.
  • Day 5: Earn 2 Wrecking Ball Skills.
  • Day 6: Reach 322 km/h.
  • Day 7: Complete 3 laps at any Time Attack Circuit.

Rewards

Completing all the weekly and daily challenges will award you 45 points.

At 15 points, the prize is the 2019 Subaru STi S209.

At 30 points, the prize is the 2016 Toyota Land Cruiser Arctic Trucks AT37.

At 60 Seasonal points, you can get the 2008 Mazda Furai.
