Forza Horizon 6’s Festival Playlist’s Series 2 is in full swing with Week 2, which showcases cars from the 90s. The series is called Horizon Decades after all, and we have possibly the most iconic decade of cars and challenges on our hands.
The second week of Series 2 keeps up the intensity with some quite difficult challenges, and we have the second iteration of the Trial as well. Reserve up to two hours to complete all the challenges.
Here’s our guide on how to complete all Week 2 events in Forza Horizon 6 Festival Playlist Series 2.
All Week 2 challenges in Forza Horizon 6 Series 2 playlist
Weekly Challenge — Syclone Season
In this weekly challenge, we have to drive the 1991 GMC Syclone and, as always, complete four challenges with it. Like usual, these challenges need to be completed one after the other; you can’t just skip to the final one and do it first.
- Own and Drive the 1991 GMC Syclone.
The 1991 GMC Syclone is available for purchase at the Autoshow for 46,000 Credits, but it’s also one of the challenge rewards in this week’s series, so you should get it for free there..
- Complete 2 runs at the Irokawa Quarter Mile Drag Meet in the 1991 GMC Syclone.
Simply fast travel to the Irokawa Quarter Mile Drag Meet and run the distance two times. There’s no set time you need to beat, so simply drive to your leisure.
- Earn 3 Awesome Wreckage Skills in the 1991 GMC Syclone.
This is a very easy challenge: simply turn from the road at any point and drive through the forest areas to complete this challenge.
- Win a Street Race in the 1991 GMC Syclone.
Simply pick any suitable Street Race and win it with your 1991 GMC Syclone.
You’ll get 25,000 Credits as the reward for completion.
Photo Challenge
This week’s Photo Challenge has us take a picture of any Jaguar from the 90s. If you don’t have any, there are several available options, none of which are cheap. But at this stage in the game, you probably can spare 540,000 Credits to purchase the 1993 Jaguar XJ220S TWR at the autoshow. After you acquire the car, simply snap a picture of it.
You’ll get the “Jaguar Growl” Car Horn as the reward for completion.
Collectibles
To complete the Bamboo Bash challenge, you need to smash 30 Bamboo trees with any car. The easiest way to do it is to travel to the Arashiyama Bamboo Forest directly above the Ito airstrip and easily smash 30 trees there.
You’ll get a Super Wheelspin as the reward for completion.
Seasonal Championship — Cosworth Your While
The Seasonal Championship — Cosworth Your While is a traditional series of three races, and just as always, you don’t need to do them all consecutively, and you also don’t have to win them all to become champion, as you get points that are tallied after all three are finished.
The event is restricted to B-Class 600 PI 1990s Retro Muscle cars. There are only two available vehicles: the 1995 Chevrolet Corvette ZR-1 and the 1999 Dodge Viper GTS ACR. The latter is a better car on paper, but we’d actually suggest going with the Corvette, as it has more room to tune it, and at 600 PI, it becomes a better option.
The reward for winning the Championship is a 1992 Ford Escort RS Cosworth.
Seasonal Championship — On the Trail
Another Seasonal Championship, On the Trail, is a traditional 3-race challenge with the tried and true format as before.
The event is restricted to C-Class 600 PI 1990s Retro Rally cars. The best option is to reuse last week’s Lancia Delta S4’s younger brother, the 1992 Lancia Delta HF Integrale Evo, or even use the 1992 Ford Escort RS Cosworth from the previous event.
The reward for winning the Championship is a 1991 GMC Syclone.
Danger Sign
We start our World Events this week with the Mt. Fuji View Danger Sign.
The challenge has an A-Class 700 PI 1990s car restriction, and it requires you to reach a distance of 270 meters. It’s not the easiest one, because even the regular Sign gives 3 stars at 228. The biggest challenge is the length of the runoff before the jump. For this, pick any car that has good acceleration and low weight. Try maxing its top speed, but be mindful of the 700 PI restriction.
The reward for completing this challenge is a Wheelspin.
Speed Trap
The second World Event is the Nangan Turn Speed Trap.
The challenge also has an A-Class 700 PI 1990s car restriction. It’s not a very difficult speed trap; you can safely reuse the car you chose for the Danger Sign.
The reward for completing this challenge is a Wheelspin.
Trailblazer
The Kudarizaka Trailblazer is the final World Event. The challenge also has a B-Class 600 PI 1990s car restriction and requires you to finish it with 40 seconds remaining. It’s a fairly easy Trailblazer that you can finish even with a road car. Pick any 90s vehicle and go at it.
The reward for completing this challenge is a Wheelspin.
Seasonal Job
Seasonal Jobs are the easiest, but also sometimes the most boring and tedious part of the Weekly challenges. Not much to be said here, just persevere through a full shift to complete this challenge.
You’ll get the “It’s working! It’s WORKING” Forza Link phrase as the reward for completion.
Seasonal Online — The Trial
Season 2 brought back The Trial, a Festival Playlist challenge type that will have you work with your fellow players against Drivatars of Unbeatable difficulty, and Week 2 of Season 2 has a new one in store. The challenge has an A-Class 700 PI 1990s Retro Supercars restriction, and while there is some diversity in available cars, most of them cost a lot. Your best bet is to use the Barn Find 1997 Lamborghini Diablo SV, and upgrade it exactly to 700 to stand a chance. You will likely have to run this event several times.
The reward for completing this challenge is a 1999 Lamborghini Diablo GTR.
Seasonal Online — Horizon Drift
The final Online challenge this week is a strange one. You need to earn 3 LINK Drift Skill in a Drift Championship. LINK skills are earned when you and another driver in the race perform the same skill. The best bet would be to choose any driver in the race and try to mimic their drift moves — the system is fairly lenient and will readily count even the vaguest moves.
The reward for completing this challenge is a 1992 Mazda RX-7 Type R.
Monthly Rivals
The Monthly Rivals event is the same and is set at the Narai-Juku Circuit. All you need to do is set a clean lap at the circuit in any car, and the challenge will count as complete.
The reward for completing this challenge is a Super Wheelspin.
Daily Challenges
As always, in addition to the weekly challenges, we also have the daily ones that will gradually unlock every day, and completing each one awards you 5,000 Credits.
- Day 1: Park at the Evolving World Car Meet in any car from the 1990s.
- Day 2: Earn 3 Awesome Clean Racing Skills in any car from the 1990s.
- Day 3: Complete a Horizon Rush event.
- Day 4: Earn 2 Kangaroo Skills in any car from the 1990s.
- Day 5: Win a Touge Race in any car from the 1990s.
- Day 6: Earn a Great Air Skill in the 1957 Chevrolet Bel Air.
- Day 7: Win a Cross Country Race in any Unlimited Buggies vehicle.

At 40 points, the prize is the 1993 Schuppan 962CR.
