As the cost of living crisis exacerbates the financial squeeze many people were already feeling post-lockdown, there are more people than ever who require the Government's help. Bills are rising, are are prices of fuel and property, and it can be a struggle to keep up with payments.
During the earlier stages of the pandemic the Department for Work and Pensions (DWP) saw a huge surge in claims for Universal Credit, so much so they told people not to call them, but instead expect a call if they need more information about an application.
