How to cancel ESPN Plus: step-by-step instructions and alternatives

ESPN+.

If you don’t have a cable subscription then sports streaming service ESPN Plus is one of the best ways to watch live sports from home. But what if you want to cancel it?

There are loads of great streaming services which offer live sports these days, running from the major players like Peacock and Prime Video to niche sports offerings like Fite TV, DAZN and Apple TV Plus MLS. So if you don’t want to sign up for ESPN Plus but instead what to cancel, how do you do that?

Here’s how to cancel ESPN Plus, in case you’re looking to save money or want to see what else is out there.

We’ll also include suggestions for other streamers to try out, in case something out there wins you over.

Before we begin

Like many other streaming services, one of the best features is the lack of contracts or hoops to jump through to cancel. ESPN Plus supports payment direct on their website, as well as through in-app subscription on a variety of platforms.

These instructions are for you if you subscribed and pay for ESPN Plus directly on the ESPN website. You can't currently cancel your subscription in the ESPN mobile app.

How to cancel ESPN Plus

  1. Visit ESPN.com/watch/espnplus
  2. Click your profile icon.
  3. Select the option to Manage my ESPN+ subscription.
  4. Log in to your account
  5. Click Manage under your ESPN Plus subscription card.
  6. Click the option to Cancel Subscription.
  7. Confirm your cancellation.

That's it. Your all done cancelling your ESPN Plus subscription. Now get out there and enjoy the off-season. It'll be time for preseason training again before you know it.
