The Atlantic Coast Conference men’s basketball action continues on Saturday afternoon with the Virginia Cavaliers hosting the North Carolina Tar Heels in Charlottesville in what should be a great matchup.
The Cavaliers have recently fallen out of the major polls but are still right at the cusp, massing a 20-7 overall tally so far along with a tidy 11-5 mark against ACC opponents. UVA has lost two of its last three, however, with the lastest coming at the Virginia Tech Hokies — but it does have a sparkling 14-1 record on its home court.
The Tar Heels are among the top 10 teams in both major rankings, reaching No. 9 in the USA TODAY Sports Coaches Poll while just a spot lower at No. 10 in the Associated Press Poll. UNC’s 20-6 record does not seem much different than Virginia’s except for the 12-3 mark in conference play.
The Virginia Cavaliers will host the North Carolina Tar Heels on Saturday, Feb. 24 at 4 p.m. ET.
