The UConn Huskies women’s basketball team returns to action on Wednesday night for a home matchup with their Big East rivals, the Seton Hall Pirates.
The Huskies have put together a terrific campaign so far, currently sitting atop their conference thanks to a perfect 11-0 mark against Big East foes along with a 19-4 overall record. Winners of their last two, UConn is surging back into the top 10 of the AP Poll heading into this game.
The Pirates have been pretty lackluster this season, holding a 13-9 overall tally with a 5-6 mark against conference competition. Seton Hall has alternated wins and losses over its last nine tries, coming up short in their most recent game against the Villanova Wildcats on Saturday.

UConn’s midseason push is a much-needed one for the program and there is still some headroom for improvement in overall standings. Seton Hall simply needs more than just a moral victory on Wednesday, but an actual win to get things back on track.
