The UCLA Bruins will host the Oregon Ducks on Saturday for a battle between two Pac-12 teams headed in different directions.
The Bruins have historically been a blood-blood program in the men’s basketball realm, but it just has not been their season so far. Mired in mediocrity with a 10-11 overall record and a 5-5 mark in conference play, UCLA has won its last two games, representing a step in the right direction.
The Ducks, on the other hand, are in a battle with the Arizona Wildcats for the Pac-12 lead, bringing a 15-6 mark overall and a 7-3 record in conference play into this one. However, five of those six losses came away from Oregon’s home court.

A victory for UCLA would bring the team back to the .500 mark and extend its winning streak to three, giving the program some much-needed conference. For Oregon, a triumph on the road would keep the pressure on the schools also vying for the conference crown.
