The March Madness excitement crescendoes as the first week of March enters the books, which means it is time for the America East men’s basketball conference tournament to kick off. The Vermont Catamounts were the overwhelming winners of the regular-season title, going 15-1 in conference play — four games better than the Massachusetts-Lowell River Hawks and Bryant Bulldogs at 11-5. Those three teams were the only ones to finish with a winning record in America East play.
The bottom of the regular-season conference standings is inhabited by the New Jersey Institute of Technology Highlanders who finished at 3-13. The other five schools were at least two games under .500 or worse against American East opposite during the 2023-24 campaign.
