Trials in Arc Raiders is effectively a ranking system where you compete against other players for high scores on five challenges each week. When you complete a task for this week's challenges, you'll earn points towards that objective and earn a place on the leaderboard.
The competition can get intense, to say the least. But if you're looking to earn all the unique Trials rewards, you're going to need to step up to the plate and give it a shot. Below, I'll go over all the Trials challenges this week and the best way to complete them for a high score.
Arc Raiders Trials this week

Here's how to get a high score on this week's Trial challenges (week 6), available from Monday, December 1, until Monday, December 8:
Trial Challenge |
Best Method |
|---|---|
Deal damage to Hornets |
This challenge is nice and easy, since Hornets are quick to kill and are found just about everywhere. I'd recommend going to Dam Battlegrounds or Buried City during a Night Raid. You'll be able to three-star this challenge simply by walking around and killing all those you see. For a more competitive approach aimed at topping the leaderboards, grab Osprey snipers and tons of ammo, and go to either the top of the Control Tower on Dam Battlegrounds or Communications Relay on Blue Gate to snipe Hornets across the map. |
Deliver carriables |
This challenge is basically asking you to complete Field Depots, though other carriable activities do count. With this in mind, I recommend doing Dam Battlegrounds' six potential Field Depots. It's easy to get three stars on this challenge, though getting high leaderboard scores is very limited this given that you're constrained by the number of Field Depots and crates on the maps. |
Damage Rocketeers, Leapers, and Bastions |
Given the difficulty of these enemies, getting three stars for this Trial isn't necessarily a walk in the park. Bring some of the best guns, Wolfpack Grenades, and barricades. All of the maps are good options, but I'd recommend taking advantage of the Spaceport Hidden Bunker event for bonus time, getting onto a rooftop, and attacking Rocketeers from afar. Otherwise, go to Dam Battlegrounds during a Night Raid to hunt down the Bastion, Rocketeer, and Leaper spawns around Water Treatment, Testing Annex, Hydroponic Drome Complex, and Power Generation (on the dam wall and near the extract). You can see specific spawns on MetaForge's interactive maps. |
Destroy Pops |
Pops are nice and easy to kill, making three-starring this Trial a breeze, but high scores on the leaderboard will be slightly harder. A good route is to go to Dam Battlegrounds and clear out the underground tunnels joining Water Treatment and Research & Administration, then all the way from the Control Tower basement to the very top. Given the areas this route goes through, expect a lot of other players along the way. |
Open Arc Probes |
This challenge is the most farmable to get high scores in this week's Trials, so keep that in mind if you're looking to top the leaderboard. Additionally, your score is actually based on each container you loot from the Arc Probe. Crashed probes only have one compartment, while the fully-functional ones have three, and so are technically worth more. With that in mind, the best way to complete this challenge is to do the Prospecting Probes event, where intact Arc Probes continuously land throughout the match. You could also do the Electromagnetic Storm event, which spawns crashed probes. You'd need to find more probes if you take this second option, but it's generally safer. I like doing this on Dam Battlegrounds because it's usually the easiest map, in my opinion, but any of the surface maps work. |
Right off the bat, it's important to understand how scoring works. Firstly, only your personal best score during a single run for each challenge contributes to your overall ranking, so you need to be prepared.
Secondly, you can earn double Trial Score points when map conditions are active, such as Night Raid, Electromagnetic Storm, and Hidden Bunker, so you're always best off attempting the challenges on these runs. Plus, it's basically always easier to attempt these with two other players, not just because it's easier to stay alive, but also because the score is shared, letting you earn higher scores with much less effort.
Arc Raiders Trials rewards

There are two types of rewards for competing in the Trials system: challenge rewards and seasonal rewards. Challenge rewards are earned by scoring points on tasks each week, and basically just give you a loot box (though these can include blueprints).
Seasonal rewards are much more exciting, giving you exclusive items based on your final rank at the end of the season. The current season rewards are:
- Rookie II: Happy Jig emote
- Rookie III: Black Eye face style
- Tryhard I: Archaeologist backpack colour
- Tryhard III: Briefcase backpack attachment
- Wildcard I: Mastery Medal backpack charm
- Wildcard III: Bow and Arrow emote
- Daredevil I: Patrol outfit and headgear
- Cantina Legend: Scarlet Black colour for the Patrol outfit
