Now there is no more Love Island to enjoy on our screens, fans will be looking forward to the next season already.

If you are ready to go on the hunt for love, you could couple up with the person of your dreams in next year's summer season of popular ITV2 show Love Island.

With applications now open, the chosen cast will be able to spend time in the luxury Love Island villa as they attempt to put their eggs all in one basket to remain on the show.

If this sounds like the opportunity for you, here's everything you need to know about the application process for Love Island 2023.

How old do you have to be to apply for Love Island?

There is only one specific rule when it comes to applying for the popular dating show.

To potentially secure a spot in the villa, all applicants must be over the age of 18.

You can apply for a summer of love by applying through the ITV website.

Firstly, the application will ask you to submit some details about yourself, including:

  • Your full name

  • Email address

After you have supplied the basics, the application form will then ask you to submit:

  • A full length photo of yourself

  • Social media handles

Lastly, you will need to send a video of yourself, in landscape, detailing why you would like to be on Love Island and what makes you suitable for the show.

The Love Islanders go through a rigorous audition process (ITV)

You will also need to state in the video your gender, sexuality, what your current job is and a little bit more about your personality that will make you stand out among other applicants.

How to apply for Love Island 2023

Once you've filled out your application form as above, the next step is to wait for the producers to get in touch.

If show bosses like the look of you, you may be invited to the next stage of audition, which can involve a grilling about some of the information you've included about yourself.

Expect to be asked about your sex life, your mental health and physical fitness, your religion, race and and political opinions you hold, as well as your sexual orientation.

If you've been in trouble with the law, producers will want to know about any allegations, ongoing proceedings and any convictions you've had in the past.

If you get through that round, you may be invited to appear in person to meet the producers and do a screen test to see how you come across on camera.

Applications for the summer season of Love Island 2023 are open now via the Love Island website.
