A transfer window at Swansea City is rarely uneventful.
Russell Martin, overseeing his first full pre-season as manager, brought seven players on board in a bid to strengthen his squad and, perhaps just as importantly, managed to hold on to key assets Joel Piroe and Michael Obafemi.
It's perhaps telling that Martin recently claimed that keeping the forward duo was the club's 'best bit of business' in this window, with Piroe in particular emphasising his importance by netting in the recent 1-0 win over Queens Park Rangers.

But while keeping the pair on board will undoubtedly be a boost to the Swans heading into the rest of the season, there were a number of players to depart the Swansea.com Stadium.
Here's how they've all fared since moving on to pastures new.
Flynn Downes
The most high-profile departure from SA1. The midfielder secured a move to his boyhood club West Ham United for a fee believed to be £9m, potentially rising to £14m.
The 23-year-old signed a five-year deal at the London Stadium, but hasn't quite yet made his mark in east London.
Downes has seen just one minute of Premier League action since making the move, and just two appearances off the bench in the Europa Conference League.
West Ham boss David Moyes recently said Downes "needs to do better" if he wants to break into his first-team plans on a regular basis, although the midfielder has been included in every matchday squad of the season.
Korey Smith
The popular midfielder bid farewell to the Swans at the end of last season, with the club deciding not to renew his contract this summer.
He has since joined League One side Derby County, where he's already become something of a regular under boss Liam Rosenior, making seven appearances in all competitions, including five starts.
The 31-year-old is currently working his way back from a toe injury.
Yan Dhanda
The former Liverpool starlet was another to leave on a free transfer this summer, a decision that came as little surprise given his lack of game-time under Martin.
Dhanda made just seven appearances in all competitions last season, and has now moved on to Scotland, where he's plying his trade for Ross County.
He's already become something of a regular at Dingwall, making nine appearances in all competitions.
Ben Hamer
The goalkeeper fell out of favour towards the end of last season, so the decision to release him on a free wasn't entirely unexpected.
He's since signed on at Championship rivals Watford, but has similarly struggled to establish himself as number one, and is yet to earn a single minute of first-team action.
Morgan Whittaker
The forward was a regular on loan at Lincoln City last season, but he hasn't yet managed to hit the heights in a Swans shirt. A loan move this term always seemed likely, and he's since set to spend the season at Plymouth Argyle in League One.
The 21-year-old has enjoyed a decent start at Home Park, netting two goals and earning one assist in nine games in all competitions.
Jordon Garrick
The winger was also on loan last season, spending the campaign at Plymouth Argyle, where he was something of a regular.
However, there's clearly some unease over his readiness for the Championship, and another spell away has been deemed the best course of action for his development. He has since joined Lincoln City, where he's made four appearances in all competitions.
Given his contract is up next summer, there will already be doubts over whether he really has a long-term future with the Swans.
Kyle Joseph
Spent the first half of last season on loan at Cheltenham Town before returning to south Wales, but he hasn't quite made a meaningful impact on Martin's first-team plans.
The forward has moved to Oxford United in a bid to find more game-time, and has largely been successful, having featured in every game for the U's this season.
Lewis Webb
Spent the second half of last season on loan at Irish side Shelbourne and still seems some way off first-team consideration.
Has joined Cymru Premier side Aberystwyth Town, where he's played every minute of the current campaign.
Dan Williams
Another player to be shipped out on loan to the Welsh top flight, the midfielder has joined TNS on loan, having also spent time in Ireland last season.
He's yet to make his debut for the Welsh champions, having joined on deadline day.
Ryan Bennett
Speculation over the future of the centre-back, a favourite under Steve Cooper, rumbled on for some time.
For one reason or another, Bennett wasn't seen as a good fit for Martin's style and philosophy, and was subsequently exiled from the first-team picture, despite being one of the club's higher earners.
The hierarchy would surely have preferred to sell him, but with no real approaches materialising, the decision was made to release the 32-year-old by mutual consent.
Hannes Wolf
The Austrian joined on loan from Borussia Monchengladbach midway through last season, and quickly established himself as an important part of Martin's plans.
He's since returned to his parent club, making two appearances off the bench in the Bundesliga this season.
Cyrus Christie
The full-back was another one to arrive in January, also made a substantial impact in a Swans shirt.
A free agent this summer, there was clearly some enthusiasm to make his stay permanent, but a deal never materialised.
The 29-year-old would go on to sign for Hull City.
Finley Burns
Signed in January, the Manchester City loanee couldn't quite force his way into the first team picture, making just three starts.
He's returned to the Etihad, but doesn't look like knocking on Pep Guardiola's door any time soon.
