Sarah Jessica Parker delighted fans when she took to the red carpet at the premiere of Hocus Pocus 2 and was joined by her family for the New York showing.
The Hocus Pocus sequel comes almost 30 years after the original was released, with Sex And The City star reprising her role as witch Sarah Sanderson in the movie.
Pictured on Tuesday at AMC Lincoln Square Theatre in New York City, “SJP” was joined by husband Matthew Broderick and her twin daughters, Marion and Tabitha.
Sarah Jessica, 57, dazzled in a silver Mandarin top with a pink floral print, while fellow actor Broderick looked smart in a brown suit and tie combo for the film premiere, with the feature-length airing on Disney+ streaming platform from Friday September 30 in the UK.
The couple are known as one of the most harmonious in Hollywood, having been together for 25 years.
The marriage came a decade after a terrible incident that left two people dead on a road in Northern Ireland.
Matthew Broderick’s tragic car crash
Matthew Broderick was on holiday in 1987 with his then-girlfriend Jennifer Grey, star of Dirty Dancing and his co-star in his breakout film, Ferris Bueller’s Day Off.
On August 5 while driving in Enniskillen, Northern Ireland, Broderick’s rented BMW went onto the wrong side of the road and collided head-on with a Volvo.
The driver, Anna Gallagher, 28, and her mother, Margaret Doherty, 63, were both killed instantly.
The incident, which occurred only nine days before the Ferris Bueller premiere, also left Broderick and Grey badly injured.
He had a broken leg, a collapsed lung and concussion, while Jennifer had severe whiplash and torn ligaments in the back of her neck.
Broderick, now aged 60, was convicted of careless driving and fined £100.
There was an outcry from the victims’ family that he avoided a prison sentence by being found not guilty of the more serious charge of death by dangerous driving, which could have seen him put behind bars for five years.
Instead, he was convicted of the lesser charge and was even reportedly able to return to the US after paying $4,000 (£3,700) for bail.
Broderick told police he had no recollection of the crash and did not know why he had been in the wrong lane.
"What I first remember is waking up in the hospital, with a very strange feeling going on in my leg," he reportedly told officers investigating.
It is reported that when firefighters arrived at the scene, Broderick reportedly kept asking, "Did I hurt them? Did I hurt them?”
For Grey, the impact of the crash would lead to a lifetime of pain, and she was unable to dance or act for several years, while Broderick carried on acting.
How Sarah Jessica Parker and husband addressed his driving charges
SJP and Broderick would marry 10 years after the incident in Northern Ireland.
The tragedy has continued to reverberate in their marriage.
According to the New York Post, the actor was meant to meet up with the family of the women killed in the accident 15 years later, in 2002.
The outreach was said to have been spurred by the birth of his and Sarah Jessica’s son, James, that same year.
Until that point, the actor had not contacted the family with more than a note saying he was sorry.
However, it is unknown whether Broderick followed through on his intention to meet with the family.
There was criticism of the Hollywood actor when he featured in a car commercial for Honda in 2012.
Martin Doherty, the son and brother of the victims, said at the time that no meeting had taken place, but that he had forgiven the big screen actor.
The tragedy has not been enough to put Parker and Broderick off frequent returns to Ireland.
They are said to holiday multiple times per year at his family home in Kilcar, a village in County Donegal. Sarah Jessica posted a happy new year message in 2019 from the remote location.
While Donegal is in the Republic of Ireland, it borders Northern Ireland and Kilcar is just 100 miles from Enniskillen, where the fatal crash occurred.
