How Richarlison, Jonjoe Kenny and Everton's summer departures have fared so far this season

Frank Lampard has got a big job on his hands at Everton as he looks to get the Blues upwardly mobile.

Having steered the club away from the relegation trap door just in time last season, the former Chelsea boss is now in his first full season at Goodison Park and has made signings to help build a new squad in his own identity.

That means a group of players have now left, some less wished for than others, as they move onto pastures new. Here's a look at how Everton 's departed players have been getting on since they exited Merseyside this summer.

Richarlison

Certainly Everton's most high-profile departure was popular forward Richarlison. While fed-up supporters had been calling for a squad overhaul it is fair to say that the Brazilian probably wasn't intended to be part of it, but his strong desire to play Champions League football saw the 25-year-old move to Tottenham Hotspur in a £52.2million deal before the start of the new season.

Competition for places up top is tough at Spurs, but Richarlison is holding his own. He has made five Premier League appearances for Antonio Conte's side but four of them have been off the bench. His only league start so far came in a 2-1 home win against Fulham.

His appetite for European football however, has got off to the best start possible. Richarlison started Spurs' first Champions League Group Stage match against Marseille and rewarded his manager's faith by scoring twice in a 2-0 win.

Jonjoe Kenny

Right-back Kenny made a free transfer switch to Hertha BSC in June, having previously enjoyed a loan spell in the Bundesliga with Schalke.

Kenny's debut for the Berlin club came in a dramatic German Cup First Round match against Bundesliga 2 side Eintracht Braunschweig. The match finished 4-4 and went to penalties. Despite the former Everton defender scoring from the spot, underdogs Braunschweig went on to win the shoot-out 6-5.

Kenny has made six Bundesliga starts for Hertha since then with mix results. They currently lie 15th in the table on five points.

Cenk Tosun

Turkish international Tosun joined the Blues from Besiktas in January 2018 for £27million. But after only 24 Premier League starts for Everton (and another 26 league appearances off the bench) the 31-year-old headed back to his old club in Istanbul on a free transfer, following a four-month loan spell at the end of his Goodison contract.

Tosun's permanent return to Besiktas has not exactly got off to the best of starts. In his first match after re-signing, he came on as a 77th minute substitute and managed to get sent off 13 minutes later after picking up two yellow cards.

Since then, he has been limited to three late substitute appearances and is yet to find the target.

Fabien Delph

Delph left Everton this summer after his contract expired, but despite having a wealth of experience and reported interest from Championship side West Bromwich Albion, he is currently without a club.
