How police operation played out as fans flooded venues on grand final night

Police were out in force across Newcastle as fans flooded to packed pubs, viewing parties and the stadium live site to watch the Knights grand final.

The Newcastle Herald understands officers responded to some reports of intoxicated or disorderly behaviour, and some minor assaults, at licensed venues late on Sunday night and into the early hours of Monday.
