NEW DELHI: Prime Minister Narendra Modi tore into the Congress in his speech in Parliament on the motion of thanks to President Ram Nath Kovind’s address at the beginning of the Budget session. His speeches in the Lok Sabha and the Rajya Sabha on Monday and Tuesday respectively may help the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), of which he is a senior leader, in the forthcoming assembly elections starting on February 10.
Some references which PM Modi made targetted the Congress and the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) which are in direct contest with the BJP in one or other of the five states of Uttar Pradesh (UP), Punjab, Uttarakhand, Manipur and Goa going to polls in a couple of days.
