Nottingham Forest have spent more than £4 million on agents’ fees in the last two transfer windows.
However, despite last summer’s record-breaking spree on players, the Reds were the lowest spenders on agents in the Premier League. The latest set of intermediary and agents’ fees released by the Football Association show Forest splashed out £4,353,186 in the period from February 1, 2022 to January 31, 2023.
That period covers last year’s summer window, when 22 signings were made in preparation for the step up to the Premier League - a British record for a single window. Seven new faces then came through the doors in January, in a bid to help the club stay up.

This year’s amount is up on the £2,388,090 the Reds spent in the period from February 2, 2021 to 31 January 21, 2022, but is some way short of the £51.5m and £43m Manchester City and Chelsea have dished out respectively over the past 12 months.
Last summer, Forest signed Taiwo Awoniyi, Dean Henderson, Giulian Biancone, Moussa Niakhate, Omar Richards, Neco Williams, Wayne Hennessey, Brandon Aguilera, Harry Toffolo, Lewis O’Brien, Jesse Lingard, Orel Mangala, Emmanuel Dennis, Cheikhou Kouyate, Remo Freuler, Morgan Gibbs-White, Hwang Ui-jo, Renan Lodi, Willy Boly, Josh Bowler, Loic Bade and Serge Aurier as owner Evangelos Marinakis backed boss Steve Cooper with a spending splurge of upwards of £140m.
In January, Gustavo Scarpa, Danilo, Chris Wood, Felipe, Jonjo Shelvey, Keylor Navas and Andre Ayew came through the City Ground doors.
The FA state: “The transactions listed involving each Intermediary between 1st February 2022 and 31st January 2023 do not necessarily relate directly to the total payment figure per club. These payments may have been in relation to transactions that started before 1st February 2022.”
