How much do stars get paid for Leeds Festival?
Obviously, this information won't be made public.
Whilst the finer details are not readily available, we do know that payments are determined by various factors including the scale and reputation of the event as well as other details such as the venue, festival, popularity, capacity and the dates.
In terms of the process and contractual arrangements, the promoters of the festival would initially reach out to the artists' representatives and upon negotiation, an initial fee would be set out.
Then, the agent would discuss the proposal directly with the artist and the contract would be agreed or declined, sometimes leading to further negotiations if required.
In terms of payment for services, it has been said for major UK festivals that earnings have ranged from £1 million (in some cases per band member) down to £25,000 for lesser acts playing a supporting role and less for the minor stages.
The amounts agreed will depend on the status, success and prominence of a particular performer.
