How much salary cap space do the Broncos have for NFL free agency?

After rolling over about $10.6 million worth of unused salary cap space from the 2022 season, the Denver Broncos have a 2023 salary cap of $232,903,851, according to ESPN’s Field Yates.

The Broncos currently have $191,337,701 worth of “Top 51” contracts counting against their cap, leaving them with $41,566,150. After subtracting $7,585,864 in “dead money,” the team is left with around $33,980,286 in salary cap space going into NFL free agency.

(This number is an estimate and is likely not exact. Sources differ on how much cap space the team has remaining — OverTheCap.com lists $33,130,684 and Spotrac.com lists $33,861,307. While the exact number is not known, it should be in the ballpark of $33 million.)

Denver could create additional salary cap space by restructuring select contracts, or by releasing more players. The Broncos have already made three cap-related roster moves that saved more than $26.5 million in cap space.

The NFL’s free agency negotiating window will open on Monday, and Denver is expected to address its offensive line. We will be tracking all of the team’s free agency moves on Broncos Wire.
