Leeds United are set for a further injection of FA Cup cash after their third round clash against Cardiff City was selected for live broadcast.
Having failed to progress beyond the third round in each of the last five seasons, Leeds will be hoping to emulate the success that Don Revie and his famous team of 1972 enjoyed when lifting the trophy.
Their visit to the Cardiff City Stadium is now due to take place in the Welsh capital on Sunday, January 8, with kick-off at 2pm and will be televised live on ITV.
Whilst news of rescheduling is likely to frustrate supporters, some may take comfort in the fact that such a blow will be compensated by an £85,000 live broadcast fee.

Subsequently, the Whites could pocket a sizeable £190,000 by reigning victorious over the Bluebirds, as a fee of £105,000 is awarded to each winning third round club.
Despite the aforementioned financial rewards not being of a gigantic scale, any incoming funds are sure to be appreciated ahead of a vital January transfer window, in which activity is expected at Elland Road.
Leeds have failed to win any of their last five meetings with Cardiff (L4, D1), but can boast a record of three wins in their last four FA Cup ties against them (L1).
