Tottenham are set to receive €1.42million (£1.18m) for Tanguy Ndombele after he completed a loan move to Lyon.
The Spurs record signing has now re-joined the club where the north Londoners initially signed him from in 2019 after falling down the pecking order under Antonio Conte.
Despite it being a temporary move, with an option to buy at the end of the season, Tottenham are set to receive a fee for Ndombele, with the French club confirming the figure is €1.42m (£1.18m).
A statement from the French club read: "Olympique Lyonnais announces the arrival of the Tottenham's French international midfielder Tanguy Ndombele, until June 30, 2022, in the form of a loan with a fee of €1.42 million, accompanied by a purchase option.
"Having played first for Amiens, Tanguy Ndombele has already worn the colors of Olympique Lyonnais for 2 seasons, between 2017 and 2019, playing 96 matches in all competitions and appearing in particular in the team of the season in both Ligue 1 and the Champions League in 2019.
"Transferred the following summer to Tottenham for €60M (+ €10M in bonuses) the 25-year-old French international, who first played for the French team in the Lyon jersey (7 caps), has since played 91 matches with Spurs.
"With more than 200 matches to his credit (16 goals), Tanguy Ndombele thus compensates for the departure of Bruno Guimaraes, transferred to Newcastle, with the ambition of getting back to his best at a club he particularly appreciates and with whom he will try to achieve the objectives set out at the start of the season, both in Ligue 1 and in the Europa League."
According to Sky Sports, Lyon have the option to make a move for Ndombele permanent in the summer for £54m - almost an identical figure to what Tottenham initially signed the midfielder for two-and-a-half years ago.
What next for Tottenham?
Tottenham have now completed the signings of Juventus duo Dejan Kulusevski and Rodrigo Bentancur.
Juventus confirmed the signings on social media at just after 4.15pm on Monday, in what is a major boost for Conte ahead of the second half of the season.
