How much Christmas lights and decorations cost to run

It's now barely a month until Christmas and decorations have already begun appearing in earnest. But, while festive lights are a welcome break from the gloom of the cost of living crisis for many, the last thing anyone wants at this time of year is a further drain on their finances.

So, with energy bills on the up, it's worth knowing just how much all that seasonal sparkle might be costing you. Indeed, new information suggests that British households will add around £15.70 to their electricity bills this December by using Christmas lights.

Thankfully, there are some things you can do to help keep the seasonal spirit in full swing.
