Arsenal have been revealed to have paid over £18million to agents over the past 12 months after the FA released their annual report into agents and intermediary fees. The governing body's research has revealed how much each club throughout the five levels of the English league pyramid have paid to agents since February 2021.
It is no surprise to see the Gunners’ name near the top of that list having paid out approximately £18.6million to agents over the past 12 months. Of course, a lot of factors play into that amount, but the likely cause is Arsenal's extraordinarily busy summer transfer window where they welcomed six new faces to the Emirates Stadium including the likes of Ben White, Martin Odegaard, Aaron Ramsdale and more.
However, the fees also include negotiations for new contracts signed over the past year - Kieran Tierney, Folarin Balogun and Granit Xhaka all among those to have penned fresh terms in north London.
