How Marina Granovskaia and Petr Cech reacted to Brentford's fourth goal vs Chelsea

Chelsea directors Marina Granvoskaia and Petr Cech's reactions to Yoane Wissa's goal for Brentford summed up a bad day for the Blues on and off the pitch.

The pair initially witnessed jubilant scenes as Antonio Rudiger had scored a wonder strike just after the half-time whistle, but that goal alone sparked a remarkable response from Brentford, who turned into prime Barcelona with their clinical nature shortly after.

A double from Vitaly Janelt coupled with a special goal for Christian Eriksen and a late strike for the DR Congo international meant that the Bees enacted sweet revenge on their London neighbours for the fortuitous 1-0 win that Thomas Tuchel's side picked up in the reverse fixture earlier this season.

Both Granovskaia and Cech await the pitches from the four shortlisted bidders this month. They wanted to take the chance today to get away from all the off-field drama and, as usual, watched on from the director's boxes.

In the first half, no one could blame Roman Abramovich's right-hand woman for being pictured on her phone, probably playing a game like Candy Crush with how drab proceedings were in the opening 45 minutes. In the first half, Cech had his head rested on his palms whilst Bruce Buck looked on with a grim expression on his face. No wonder he had that look with fans prior to the game holding up signs reading 'Buck Off' due to his supposed involvement in the Ricketts Family's takeover bid.

Fast forward to the second, and the former goalkeeper was the one looking down at his phone whilst Granovskaia had a disappointed and angry expression on her face once Wissa completed the humiliation late on.

It's a result that comes at an unnecessary time for Tuchel and co, who now have Real Madrid next. This could be a perfect opportunity to respond, but if they cannot do this, as evidenced by the tepid outing on Saturday then Granovskaia and Cech will continue to have worried and angry expressions on their faces.

All focus for the pair now switch back to take over proceedings and what they do going forward from here after the supporters had made their views clear earlier in the day.
