  • Spain booked their place in the final by impressively beating tournament favourites France 2-0 in the semi-finals, while Argentina secured a 2-1 victory against England.
  • Spain have won the World Cup once before back in 2010 when they beat the Netherlands 1-0 in the final thanks to an extra time goal from Andres Iniesta.
  • They have now reached just the second World Cup final in their history, and will be hoping to lift the coveted trophy for the second time this weekend.
  • Meanwhile, Argentina will be playing in their seventh final, having previously won the World Cup three times alongside suffering three defeats in finals.
