ITV's Why Didn't They Ask Evans? is the latest Agatha Christie novel to be adapted for primetime TV. After first airing on BritBox UK in 2022, the murder mystery is now available on ITV1 and the broadcaster's streaming service, ITVX.
The series, which is based on the 1934 novel of the same name, has a star-studded cast list including Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 star Will Poulter and Lucy Boynton, known for her roles in Bohemian Rhapsody, Endeavour, and The Ipcress File. Filmed in locations around the UK, including Three Cliffs Bay in Gower, Pennard Castle and Pennard Golf Club, the drama follows Bobby Jones and his childhood friend, Lady Frances 'Frankie' Derwent, who resolve to honour a dead man by deciphering, and then answering, his final question, which is the mysterious question of the title.

Why didn't They Ask Evans? kicked off on ITV1 on Sunday, April 9 at 9pm. The drama is a three-part series with the episodes airing on subsequent nights on Monday, April 10, and Tuesday, April 11 at the same time.
