Last week, Christine McGuinness shared a cryptic late-evening Instagram post, in which she implored people to “talk about trust before you talk about love”, which set tounges wagging.
The post further fuelled the rumour that her marriage to Take Me Out Host Paddy McGuinness might be on the rocks.
They were once the golden couple of social media, sharing declarations of their love with everyone, but now posts shared by Paddy, 48, and Christine, 34, have a markedly different tone.
Christine’s cryptic message about trust seemed to address issues in the couple’s 11-year marriage. She also wrote: “This year I met the most broken version of me, but also the strongest,” adding: “There is only one thing I want to make clear right now. I didn’t put us in this situation.”
Here’s everything you need to know about the couple’s relationship, and the current cheating rumours.
What are the cheating rumours?
Christine McGuinness has spoken out about her current relationship with her husband Paddy after rumours the pair have split. The ex-model has admitted the pair, who have been married for 11 years, are having a “very, very difficult time.”
Speculation about the relationship between Paddy and Christine has been rife for months after the Bolton-born comedian wasn’t seen publically supporting his wife during her stint on ITV’s The Games before the pair went on separate holidays last month.
After sharing a series of cryptic posts on social media in recent days, mum-of-three Christine told The Sun: “What I might have put up with in the past, I probably wouldn’t put up with now, and the same for him,” before sharing: “I can’t deny we are having a very, very difficult time.”
“It’s just — we’ve been together 15 years, 11 years married: we are gonna have ups and downs — but this situation at the minute — I don’t want to go into it too much but I will just say that I didn’t cause this situation,” she added.
Christine is currently making a programme about her own autism diagnosis, having previously filmed a BBC documentary about her children’s battles with the condition.
How many children do they have?
The couple have three children, eight-year-old twins Leo and Penelope, and five-year-old Felicity.
All three have been diagnosed with autism, a condition that means your brain works in a different way from other people and can impact how you interact with the world.
How did Christine and Paddy McGuinness meet and when did they get married?
After meeting at an event through a mutual friend in 2007, Christine and Paddy, who she calls Patrick, got married at Thornton Manor in Cheshire in front of 200 guests on June 4, 2011.
