Inazuma Eleven: Victory Road tells the story of a former football star forced to stop playing due to health complications as he attempts to live a life removed from the sport, only to find himself inescapably drawn to it. Over the course of the game’s nine chapters, Billows assembles a crew of classmates into a team capable of taking on the best sides in all of Japan. While Billows is unable to play himself due to the related health risk, he takes on the role of manager, filling out the squad and designing surprising tactics for each match as he guides the team toward the championship.

While you can’t know exactly how long a game like Victory Road will take you due to the variance that comes with a long game and the different play approaches you might take, these guides can give you a rough idea of how long the game will take you to beat:

  • Story-Focused Playthrough: If you take a quick approach to the game, minimizing extracurricular play or grinding to progress through the matches in story mode as quickly as possible, you will likely complete the game in approximately 20 hours of play. While this can vary a bit in either direction, this is about as short a playthrough as you are likely to have.
  • Comprehensive Playthrough: Players who prefer a more thorough approach to their RPGs can add significant length to their playthroughs by extensively developing their characters or seeking out all possible side content. A more thorough approach to the game will likely take approximately 30 hours to complete.
  • Chronicle Mode Play: Story mode is not the only method of playing Inazuma Eleven: Victory Road, as there is also the expansive Chronicle mode, which sees players taking on every challenge match in the series’ history while building a roster from players across the Inazuma Eleven world. Playing Chronicle Mode can add more than 50 hours of gameplay to your time with Inazuma Eleven: Victory Road.

How you play Inazuma Eleven: Victory Road plays a big part in how much time it takes you to beat, but no matter what approach you take, this is a game with a lot to explore and a lot of bang for your buck.
