Monday is set to bring some serious heat to Leeds with some areas forecast to see temperatures hitting 30C for the first time this year.
The warm weather for the Leeds area is set to peak between 1pm and 6pm where temperatures could hit highs of 29C. Thundery showers at 1pm and 6pm are expected to clear quickly as fast moving unsettled weather sweeps across the area.
A thunderstorm warning has been extended into parts of Yorkshire this afternoon with an area spanning from Huddersfield to Doncaster now within a yellow warning zone. Residents are advised of potential torrential downpours, some flash flooding and hail in areas alongside thunder and lightning.
The warning is in place between 12 noon and 9pm this evening. Despite the unsettled conditions it is still going to be hot across the region.
