Chelsea have brought in six players during the first three-and-a-half weeks of the January transfer window but their business is still far from finished.
Graham Potter's side want at least two more signings before the winter window slams shut next week, football.london understands. One players that could arrive at Stamford Bridge is Lyon defender Malo Gusto, with football.london told by multiple sources on Monday that the Blues had held preliminary talks with the French side over a potential move for Gusto.
The 19-year-old has been identified as the ideal right-back to support England international Reece James, who has struggled with a plethora of injury issues over the last few seasons and a former Chelsea player could inadvertently help his old side complete a move for Gusto in the coming days.

According to transfer guru Fabrizio Romano, Brighton wingback Tariq Lamptey, who left the Blues three years ago, has attracted attention from Lyon in the event that Gusto leaves the Ligue 1 outfit this month. Writing on Twitter, Romano said: "Tariq Lamptey, one to watch in the final days of the transfer window.
"European clubs are informed on his situation as he could leave Brighton #BHAFC Olympique Lyon are among clubs now showing interest in Lamptey in case Malo Gusto leaves to join Chelsea." Lamptey spent his formative years with the west London club, joining at the age of eight before eventually departing for Brighton in search of more regular game time.
If the 20-year-old does sign for Lyon, it could greatly help Chelsea in their pursuit of the aforementioned Gusto.
