North Queensland's Heilum Luki swapped tackling for tackle and quite literally hooked into his recovery when a second anterior cruciate ligament injury proved more difficult to handle than his first.

Luki and teammate Tom Chester found themselves short on festive cheer after suffering the second ACL injuries of their careers within weeks of each other in December 2024.
