Ella Langley’s midtempo heartbreak track "Choosin’ Texas", issued last October, has established itself as the defining smash hit of 2026.

An announcement on Tuesday confirmed that "Choosin' Texas" is now the longest-reigning US number one single in history, having accumulated 23 weeks atop the multi-genre Billboard Hot 100 chart.
