The Pittsburgh Steelers are taking no chances when it comes to the defensive line this offseason. First, the Steelers signed Breiden Fehoko and Armon Watts in free agency and now have spent the second of their two second-round picks in the 2023 NFL draft on Wisconsin nose tackle Keeanu Benton.
The addition of Benton gives the Steelers a good problem to have. They now have a load of big bodies on the defensive line. Here’s how the depth chart breaks down with Benton in the mix.
Cam Heyward
Larry Ogunjobi
Montravius Adams
DeMarvin Leal
Breiden Fehoko
Armon Watts
Keeanu Benton
This might be the most depth the Steelers have had at defensive line in a decade. This level of talent means the Steelers might have to keep all seven guys on the 53-man roster and will give the Steelers such a deep rotation their ability to hold up late in games will be much improved.
