There is no doubt that Christian Pulisic is the key threat in attack for the USA despite his struggles at club level for Chelsea.
The American winger provided a crucial assist in the USA's World Cup opener 1-1 draw against Wales as Timothy Weah's goal was cancelled out by a Gareth Bale penalty. Pulisic's pace and direct approach makes him a handful for any defence and he has enjoyed a positive start at the tournament in Qatar.
Former USMNT international Eddie Lewis has claimed that Christian Pulisic could play his way back into the Chelsea team with his performances at the World Cup. The 24-year-old has struggled to cement his place in the first-team since making the switch to west London.

Pulisic started the game against the Three Lions well, exposing big gaps in the England defence as he continued to drive at Kieran Trippier and John Stones. Gregg Berhalter's side were the better side in the first half, having the best chances of opening the scoring with one falling to Pulisic inside the penalty area.
The Chelsea star did well to control the ball down before breaking free from Trippier and lashing a shot towards goal. Pulisic's powerful strike crashed against the crossbar as the winger turned away with his head in his hands, knowing how good of a chance it was for the USA to take a shock lead.
Berhalter's team continued to threaten down the wings with Pulisic almost breaking through on goal, but he was unfortunate not to break past John Stones who did well to take the ball off of the American winger. Heading into half-time Pulisic was the best player on the pitch along with Arsenal goalkeeper Matt Turner in the USMNT's net.
Pulisic's relationship with Antonee Robinson down the left side for the USA continued to provide a tough test for England in the second half, immediately getting in behind once again after the restart. The Blues winger was always the first player to initiate counter-attacks with his electric pace and direct running, releasing Weah and Wright into good areas, but the finishing touch continued to escape the USA.
Every corner Pulisic took in front of the USA fans, he was met with a roar of support and cheers with Berhalter's side still on top midway through the second half. The Chelsea star was crucial in helping the USA earn a vital point against England as they stayed third in Group B with a huge clash against Iran up next in what will decide who qualifies for the round of 16.
