House prices in Bristol have changed drastically since the turn of the century, as data shows one Bristol postcode is almost 10 times more expensive to live in compared to 20 years ago.
Figures by Rightmove show what the average house price was in October 2000 compared to October 2021, and in the majority of Bristol postcodes they have tripled. In BS26, which spans parts of Somerset, the average house price was £94,890 in 2000, and £912,500 in 2021.
Meanwhile BS25 is the only Bristol postcode where average house prices have actually dropped. Data shows the average cost of a home in 2000 was £203,708, and now it's £185,000. House prices in BS25 have seen a steep decline in the past year, though, as in December 2020 the average cost of a home there was £560,166.

It comes at a time when house prices in the Bristol region are at an all time high, having risen by more than £20,000 on average in the past year. One of Weston-super-Mare's leading property agents said Bristol buyers are rushing to the North Somerset town to get better value for money.
