Arsenal have been linked with a host of top-class forwards recently as Mikel Arteta looks to strengthen his side during the summer transfer window.
The Gunners allowed former captain Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang to join Barcelona back in January, with no replacement signed, whilst fellow frontmen Eddie Nketiah and Alexandre Lacazette are both into the final four months of their contracts with the club. One name that has constantly been linked with a move to the Emirates Stadium in recent times is Benfica youngster Darwin Nunez.
And football.london understands that the north Londoners are tracking the Uruguayan international ahead of a potential summer move. Technical director Edu is in contact with the representatives of the 22-year-old and has shortlisted the player as a potential summer signing. Nunez has netted 26 times across all competitions this season and would reportedly cost £67million this summer, according to Portuguese outlet Record.

Arsenal have also been linked with a move for unhappy Manchester United forward Marcus Rashford, who is valued at £76.5million on Transfermarkt. Rashford has struggled for consistent form in recent times and The Mirror have claimed that Arteta is interested in offering the England international an escape from Old Trafford.
The Gunners might not splash the cash to sign both Rashford and Nunez this summer but just in case they do, football.london take a look at how they could line up with the two talented forwards. Arteta has switched from his previously favoured 4-2-3-1 system to a 4-3-3 set-up in recent weeks.
The Spaniard has found success by utilising Thomas Partey as a lone no.6 behind Martin Odegaard and Granit Xhaka, helping his side have more control in the middle of the park. This system would allow both Bukayo Saka and Rashford to have plenty of freedom in attack.
The latter has been shifted out to the right-wing by United interim boss Ralf Rangnick, struggling as he is unable to cut in on his favoured right foot. However, he would likely be deployed on the left flank if a move to the Emirates Stadium was secured, playing in a similar role that he enjoyed during Ole Gunnar Solskjaer's time with the Red Devils.
Meanwhile, Nunez would be tasked with holding the ball up in central areas, something he has no problem with given his rare blend of physical strength and technical prowess. The former Almeria frontman would of course need to chip in with his fair share of goals, something that the likes of Odegaard and Saka would help set up.
