Arsenal continue to be linked with a summer transfer for Lyon star Lucas Paqueta.
Paqueta established himself as one of Ligue 1's most talented midfielders last season, netting 11 goals and providing a further seven assists across all competitions, attracting plenty of attention from a host of European clubs in the process. However, Lyon are notoriously tricky customers when it comes to selling their assets, often pricing clubs out of moves for their best players.
The French club value the Brazilian international at €80 million (£68 million)according to Goal, a steep price when you consider that AC Milan sold him to Lyon for around £18 million just two years ago. Still, the Gunners may have an ace up their sleeve in negotiations, with UOL reporting that the player's entourage have urged the French club to accept a fair price considering he accepted a pay cut when he arrived at the Groupama Stadium from Milan back in 2020.

The north London outfit will hope that this could potentially help the French side lower their asking price for Paqueta, who has been subject of an offer from an unnamed club this summer, according to Lyon president Jean-Michel Aulas. “There are proposals for him," Aulas told Goal when asked about the 24-year-old's future.
He added: “There are certain players who can feel complete in the project, and others who don't. Economically, we have the means to pursue our ideas and objectives.”
