How a Canberra artist conquered her lifelong fear by hauling a shark up a mountain

When the planners of the National Arboretum were envisaging its future use, they probably weren't imagining a local artist pulling a five-metre latex shark on wheels up its steep grassy hill.

But that's exactly what Canberra artist Sophie Dumaresq has done, in a whimsical, eccentric and thought-provoking performance.

And both Sophie and the shark - called Baby, of course - are going to be popping up more often in Canberra. And beyond.
