Houston’s kickoff tee retriever stole the hearts of college football fans during Cougars’ Independence Bowl win

The Independence Bowl provided some thrilling entertainment Friday with Houston rallying to score the go-ahead touchdown against Louisiana with 20 seconds left in the game, before locking up the 23-16 victory with a super late interception against Ragin’ Cajuns.

But the biggest hero of the game turned out to be Houston’s kickoff tee retriever, Hawk (who goes by Stone Cold Big Hawk on Twitter). With his pizzazz, style and bellyflop, he stole the hearts of college football fans everywhere when he took the field to grab the tee.

Not only did Hawk bellyflop on the field before grabbing the tee, but he also sprinted back to the sideline and exited the field with an impressive tuck-and-roll kind of move.

Between his signature on-field moves — this is what he does — and his mullet, he absolutely stole the show, despite the bowl game coming down to the final seconds.

Seriously, what a legend.
