Houston Texans linebacker Azeez Al-Shaair is continuing to honour Palestinian children killed in Gaza, despite being fined and warned by the NFL over messages written on the black strips beneath his eyes during games. The 28-year-old has repeatedly used his platform to draw attention to the deaths of children during the war, placing their names on black tapes on his face as a tribute.

His actions have sparked a debate about athletes' freedom to express humanitarian concerns while competing under the league's strict uniform and equipment rules. Most recently, Al-Shaair reportedly honoured 10-year-old Amal Abu Khater during Houston's game against the Tennessee Titans on 11 October, continuing a series of tributes that has drawn attention from fans and advocacy groups.
