People across Wirral reported hearing a 'huge bang' tonight which 'shook their houses'.
Many people took to social media after hearing what some described as an 'explosion' near Upton Park in Moreton, Wirral. The noise, which happened at around 9:15pm, was heard across Wirral with others reporting hearing it in Leasowe, Greasby, Hoylake and Bidston.
Cheryl Hudson contacted the ECHO and said the noise was so loud it "shook houses and flats" in the area.

She said: "It was really loud and sounded like an explosion.
"It was heard all over Moreton, Upton, Greasby, Leasowe and some areas of Moreton near Upton Park have said their flats/houses shook."
On the What's on Moreton Facebook page dozens of people queried what the noise could have been.
One woman wrote: "Something gone on in Upton Park, apparently fire brigade and police are down there. Maybe somebody has set fire to a car, they can really go off with a hell of an explosion!"
Another said: "I live right by there and the police have been round and said kids had set fire to a motorbike and that is what exploded."
Meanwhile one woman said the noise was so loud it upset her children, while another said it made them "jump out their skin".
Lots of people reported seeing smoke billowing from Upton Park and saw fire engines heading to the scene.
One said: "Loads of police in Upton Park looking round and fire engines looking into the woods."
Chloe Whitby told the ECHO: "Honestly it was crazy I heard the bang and then my dogs barking. My lamp shade actually shook! It sounded like a car explosion."
Chloe who lives close to Upton Park said she was told by firefighters a gas cylinder had been set alight and had exploded, causing the loud bang.
She added: "They said it could've killed someone if they were too close. I live right behind the park where it happened so I heard it pretty loud.
"It shook our house and all you could smell was burning it was freaky but glad it was ok in the end (as far as I’m aware) but the response was so fast so I congratulate the fire/police team."
