Households brace for 'awful April' of bill increases

Households across Britain are bracing for an “awful April” of bill rises with energy, council tax, water, broadband, car tax, phone and water payments all set to increase from next month.

Gas and electric bills for millions will go up by an average 6.4% from April 1 when Ofgem’s price cap is raised for a third consecutive quarter.
