MICHAEL Shanks has been told off by the Commons Speaker for Labour’s “appalling treatment” of the House after the UK Government’s decision to approve the Jackdaw gas field was leaked to the press.
On Tuesday evening, news outlets had reported that the UK Government had come to a decision on the long-awaited new gas drilling operation off the coast of Aberdeen and that it was expected to be announced on Wednesday morning.
