House party hell video shows 'rockstar-like' destruction as Airbnb trashed

An Airbnb owner came back to a "bomb site" after teenagers rented out their house for the night.

Wardrobes were overturned into hallways, wallpaper torn off walls and ceramic sinks smashed to pieces.

A one-minute video capturing the destruction also shows empty crates of beer scattered across the floor, as well as damaged items tossed onto the balcony outside.

It is understood that boys and girls in their mid to late teens had rented the property in Galway, Ireland, over a weekend.

The homeowner now has to fork out for costly repair work in the aftermath of the wreckage, it has been reported.

A source told Galway Beo: "The people behind the damage behaved like rockstars and absolutely tore the place to shreds.

"It's understood that the place was rented to a group of Galway teens for the weekend.

"The person who rented it out was only looking to earn a few quid. Now, they'll have to pay a costly amount to fix the mess."

Towards the start of the footage, a toilet seat can be seen flung to the floor alongside sharp pieces of ceramic from the smashed-up sink.

Various items can also be seen stuffed down the toilet and cistern, while the toilet roll handle is broken off.

Meanwhile in the bedrooms, beds have been left broken to bits with several mirrors smashed and glass littering the carpets.

The video comes after another Airbnb host was left with £5,000 worth of damage after guests partied at their North London property for just one night in July.

The 41-year-old returned to the rental home a day after the group ignored his pleas not to party.

What he found was a scene of absolute chaos in which the broken wardrobe stood next to bags of rubbish, discarded laughing gas capsules and cigarette ends.

He first realised something was amiss when neighbours told him music coming from the property was very loud and that people outside were doing laughing gas balloons.

His requests to the tenant to stop the party via the Airbnb app were ignored.

Despite having driven past the house to see signs of the disruption, the landlord decided not to call the police, for fear it might escalate the situation.

Instead he arrived at the property the next morning to encounter a scene of pure disruption.

The host expressed hope that Airbnb's insurance policy would help him restore the property, but he will remain out of pocket due to being unable to rent out the home.

He told MailOnline at the time: "I went in the next day after they'd checked out to find they'd broken my brand new three seater sofa, a two door cupboard, three or four blind pullers and that the walls and floors were damaged.

"I'd never seen anything like this before, I was pretty shocked."
