House of the Dragon is finally coming to screens. Since it was first announced in late 2019, we have watched filming and casting announcements roll in.
The show reportedly cost around $20 (£16.5) million per episode for its 10-episode run, according to Variety and the hype is in full swing. It will premiere on August 22 on Sky Atlantic in the UK.
House of the Dragon is set around 200 years before the events of a Song of Ice and Fire as the Targaryan family erupts into civil war. Caught in the middle of this war is Princess Rhaenyra Targaryen, first-born daughter of King Viserys I.
